Poor Impulse Control
Normally impulsive behavior responds to a need for immediate gratification, in many cases this is the elimination or neutralization of the emotional discomfort that triggers it. Within impulse disorders we can find different behaviors. All of them are characterized by a failure in the attempt to resist the impulse to perform the behavior and by a growing tension felt by the person prior to performing the behavior that he releases with the achievement of the behavior. Once the behavior is done, the person feels guilt, remorse and negative feelings towards themselves.
