Depression


Depression is a disease that affects us physically and mentally in our way of feeling and thinking. Depression can make us want to get away from our family, friends, work and school.

The reasons for feeling in a depressive state are very varied. Some people experience depression when they experience an emotional event in their lives, for example, when we lose a job or end an important love relationship.

The condition can occur as a result of a sum of factors and events. However, there are people who may become depressed without prior warning due to the genetic component of the condition.

Most common symptoms:

  • Isolation
  • Sadness
  • Anguish
  • Hopelessness
  • Frequent crying
  • Loss of sleep
  • Loss of appetite
  • Lack of interest or pleasure

Warning Signs

  1. Isolate yourself from society and want to be alone.
  2. Having mood swings, such as euphoria one day and deep discomfort the next.
  3. Feeling trapped or hopeless because of some situation.
  4. Increase the consumption of drugs or alcoholic beverages.
  5. Change the normal routine, including eating and sleeping patterns.
  6. Demonstrate personality changes or feel extremely anxious or agitated, especially when you have some of the warning signs mentioned above.
