Oppositional Defiant Disorder
It is defined by a recurring pattern of oppositional, negativist, defiant, disobedient and hostile behavior directed at authority figures.
Symptoms:
- They get angry frequently. Tantrums of all kinds are very common in them, since they easily lose patience.
- They discuss continuously with adults.
- They challenge the rules of adults. They are provocative.
- Criminal conduct.
- They blame and reproach others for their own mistakes.
- They are usually resentful of everything around them. They get upset and irritated easily.
- They use obscene language. When they get angry, they use offensive words, with the intention of harming.
- They usually have academic problems.
- They tend to lie.
- Chronic disobedience.
- Lack of adequate social skills.
- Refuse to comply with the rules or requests.
- Deliberately upset others.
